A Message from the Owner

Our goal is to cater to the individual needs of your pet and to create a sense of community during your store visits. We love to see you and your furry loved one and we are focused on finding the right products for them. Your patronage is much appreciated and when you shop with us you are supporting a local business.

Eldorado Pet & Wild Bird team members are eager to offer advice, to share their product experiences with their pets, and to help you choose the appropriate products for your dog or cat. And the treat jar is always full!

The doors of this store opened more than 16 years ago and I had the privilege of taking over ownership on October 1, 2021. If you have not visited Eldorado Pet & Wild Bird or it has been a while, please visit us soon with your pet to see all that we have to offer.

As you enter our 2000+ square foot showroom, you will see that we have the following well stocked departments: The Dog Hub, The Cat Hub, and The Wild Bird Hub. We have a new colorful, whimsical, and fun logo and we decided to drop “Country” from our name. We are now Eldorado Pet & Wild Bird……still locally owned and operated.

One of the first changes made by the Eldorado Pet & Wild Bird team was the addition of a state-of-the-art Point-of-Sale system. Benefits include faster checkout for you, a history of your past product selections, digital frequent buyer card, and excellent inventory tracking for optimal in-store stocking levels. We continue to look for ways to organize, modernize and upgrade all areas of the store.

And if we do not have something in stock, we most likely can get if for you. Many of our customers place special orders with us. We are always focused on finding the right product for you and helping to make a difference in the lives of your pets.

I love being a part of a community where puppy love abounds, constant tail wagging is pretty much guaranteed as well as the occasional wet slurpy kiss. It is a privilege to know and love your pets and we enjoy catering to the specific needs of your pets.

And most, if not all our customers are nature enthusiasts and love to feed the birds in their backyards. Birdwatching is a passion of mine and we are proud to offer premium seed, suet, feeders, and housing for your birds. I love it when you stop by to tell me about who is stopping off at your feeders and/or to show me a photograph of a bird who landed in your yard.

Finally, a personal, heartfelt, thank you to all our dedicated long-term customers. I am aware that you make a concerted effort to shop locally and it is much appreciated.

In addition to being a dog and cat lover, I am an avid bird watcher and happy to help you set up your yard with a feeding station that will attract our beautiful New Mexico birds. Stop by for a discussion and to shop our selection of high-quality bird seed, suet, feeders and supplies.
